Comments from those who have spent a night investigating Davidstow Military Museum
Davidstow Military Museum doesn’t
conjure up your typical image of a haunted location. You don’t get that eerie
spooky feeling when you see it, even though it is situated in an isolated,
lonely spot. But looks can be deceiving. The paranormal phenomenon which exists
there is overflowing.
The Soul Searchers team were all very welcoming and let us lead the night. We were left to decide where we wanted to go and we controlled the questions asked to the spirits. The team members were there with us so that they could intervene at any time, which was very reassuring. We were shown all the pieces of equipment that would be used during the night and was even given them to use so we could do the investigating. This was great because it made us feel part of the team instead of us just being observers to their vigil.
As you would probably expect, there were spirits of aircrew all around and who were kind enough to make contact with us. We experienced a glass flying around a table, with just the very tips of our fingers lightly touching it, a table racing around the squash court, with us all hanging on for dear life, spirits communicating with us using a planchette to write with and the sound of movement and the feeling of being watched in the mess hall.
I decided to be brave and spent about ten minutes on my own in the mess hall. There was a strong smell of TCP all around, the sound of footsteps walking about and shadows moving around by the fireplace, but the one thing which really spooked me were one of the mannequins. As I was standing there, this particular mannequin appeared to be moving closer to me. I tried to convince myself that it was my imagination but when its head turned to look at me I knew then it was time to go.
The whole evening flew by and was very disappointed when the sun came up and it was time to leave. We left feeling very tired but buzzing from the night’s events and with a new group of friends.
Davidstow Military Museum is a location which should be visited. The atmosphere is electric and the spirits which visit/reside there make it a place which needs investigating more. As for the Soul Searchers team, you couldn’t wish to meet a more professional, friendly and welcoming group of people. So a huge big thanks to Bev, Mark, Claire, Jodie, Jay, Garyth AKA Brynn and the rest of the team. I can’t wait to go back for more.

We organised a paranormal event at Davidstow museum and just wanted to send a massive thank you for a brilliant night. The soul searchers team where outstanding and made my team feel very welcome. The location was without doubt very active and one of the best locations we have been to so far. I would highly recommend Davidstow its must for all paranormal groups/enthusiasts. We can't wait to rebook and look forward to meeting up with the soul searchers team again. Once again many thanks.

Heya when I went to Davidstow museum the first time i really enjoyed it although I must admit I was scared to start with, but once i met the team they put me at ease, they are such nice people and easy to get on with :), we experienced a few things once that shocked me was some1 touching my arm in the squash court, and no one else was around me. We also did some glass work and was very interesting what we found out, I found out my great gran from fathers side comes to me, which did surprise me as I haven’t spoke to father in years, found out she was also angry with him etc. also in library we had a little girl,I used to be scared of the spirits around me, sounds silly i know but now i am fine with it, doesn’t really bother me at all.
2nd time I went to Davidstow my gosh we had so much activity it was amazing! we had the table in squash court and it was going everywhere 2nd time round,(thanks Bev for the running) lol. so much activity i would highly recommend going for a night there, if I could I would spend a lot of time up there, just hope i get invited back!lol xxxx

We are newly formed paranormal research team & always pleased to have the opportunity to be able to investigate “haunted locations”. We were very excited to visit Davidstowe & Bev & the Soul searchers team were very welcoming & professional (they even provided yummy biscuits & rolls). We had the loan of some amazing equipment, unobtrusive guidance and the opportunity to thoroughly investigate the museum. It became immediately apparent that the place was very active & we weren’t disappointed; activity included amazing table movement, audio, light anomalies, smells and the more psychic members of the team had some great interaction with the spirits. All of our team witnessed some form of paranormal activity – we can’t thank Soul Searchers enough for a wonderful evening and really can’t wait to go back, thanks.
